Tom Lee warns BTC could plummet by as much as 50%

Tom Lee, founder of Fundstrat and chairman of Bitmine, has warned that BTC remains highly volatile and could plummet by as much as 50%. In an interview with Anthony Pompliano, founder of Pomp Investments, Lee noted that while the introduction of spot ETFs and institutional inflows have somewhat enhanced market stability, BTC still maintains a high correlation with the stock market and can react even more sensitively, Cointelegraph reported. He explained that corrections of around 25% have been common in the stock market over the past six years. As an example, Lee suggested that a 20% decline in the S&P 500 could lead to a drop of up to 40% for BTC.
