CZ warns against buying memecoin themed on his statue

Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao has warned against purchasing a memecoin created in connection with a statue of him recently placed in front of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. In a post on X, Zhao stated that the memecoin is merely an attempt to profit from his name and urged the public not to buy it. He added that he will not accept the statue as a gift, describing the act of keeping a statue of oneself in one's home as excessively narcissistic. Previously, a group led by an individual named Nick Zee announced that after displaying the statue for several hours, it would either be gifted to Zhao or auctioned to support Giggle Academy, an educational project he leads.
