Trump says he does not know Binance founder Zhao despite pardon

President Donald Trump stated that although he pardoned Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, he does not know who Zhao is, CoinDesk reported. In an interview with CBS News, Trump explained that Zhao had been treated unfairly by the Biden administration and that the pardon was a decision aimed at maintaining U.S. competitiveness in the cryptocurrency industry. The president added that he does not know Zhao at all and has no memory of meeting him, but had heard that Zhao, like himself, was a victim of unfair treatment.
