Hong Kong charges 16 suspects in JPEX crypto fraud case

Hong Kong prosecutors have charged 16 suspects in connection with the fraud case involving the unlicensed cryptocurrency exchange JPEX, CoinDesk reported. The suspects face charges of conspiracy to defraud, inducing investments by fraudulent means, and money laundering. The charges follow the previous arrests of approximately 80 individuals linked to the case, which involves an alleged fraud scheme amounting to 1.6 billion Hong Kong dollars ($204.9 million).
