People Power Party urges S. Korea to approve Bitcoin ETFs, seeks new legislation

South Korea's People Power Party on July 6 urged the country's financial authorities to approve Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), announcing it would pursue legal amendments during the current regular session of the National Assembly if necessary, Newsis reported. In a press release following the third meeting of its Special Committee on Stock and Digital Asset Value-Up, the party called for the prompt approval of Bitcoin ETFs, noting it was a pledge made during the last general election.
