Tom Lee predicts BTC will form a bottom this week amid market fatigue

BitMine Chairman Tom Lee has predicted that Bitcoin could establish a bottom this week. In an interview with CNBC, Lee stated that the market remains unstable following a large-scale liquidation on Oct. 10, and uncertainty persists over whether the U.S. Federal Reserve will cut interest rates in December, according to Cointelegraph. He noted that while these factors are creating downward pressure, there are also signs of widespread market fatigue, suggesting a bottoming signal could appear soon. Echoing this sentiment, Bitwise Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Matt Hougan said that Bitcoin is approaching a bottom and that current price levels represent a rare opportunity and a "gift" for long-term investors. He attributed the recent correction to economic uncertainty, concerns over an AI bubble, and tariff policies. Hougan explained that because Bitcoin was the first asset to decline ahead of the broader market correction, it was the first to price in risk signals. Consequently, he believes it is likely to be the first to bottom out and rebound, presenting a significant opportunity for investors with a timeline of at least one year.
