US Senate committee approves CFTC commissioner nominee Michael Selig

The U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture has approved the nomination of Michael Selig to serve as a commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Cointelegraph reported. His nomination will now advance to the full Senate for a final confirmation vote. Selig currently serves as senior legal counsel for the SEC's crypto task force and stated during a previous confirmation hearing that cryptocurrency would be a key priority for him if confirmed.
