CFTC Acting Chair confirms Bitcoin can be used as derivatives collateral

Caroline D. Pham, Acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), officially confirmed that Bitcoin will be permitted as collateral in the derivatives market, speaking on CNBC's Squawk Box. This follows a previous CoinNess report that the CFTC is launching a pilot program for tokenized derivatives collateral, which will initially permit only BTC, ETH, and USDC as collateral for the first three months.
