US Nov. CPI rises 2.7% YoY, below forecast

The U.S. Department of Labor announced that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for November rose 2.7% year-over-year, falling short of the market forecast of 3.1%. Core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, increased 2.6% over the same period, also below the consensus estimate of 3.0%.
