London-based neobank Revolut is pursuing a new bank license from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Financial Times reported, citing sources. The sources explained that Revolut had initially planned to acquire a local bank to enter the U.S. market but has since withdrawn that plan. The move comes as Revolut explores various market entry strategies while continuing to expand its cryptocurrency services.
