Australian crypto wallet operator BPS Financial fined $9.9M for false advertising

The Australian Federal Court has fined BPS Financial, the operator of the Qoin crypto wallet, 14 million Australian dollars ($9.9 million) for false advertising, according to Decrypt. The court ruled that BPS deceived consumers by falsely claiming its wallet was accepted by numerous merchants and could be exchanged for cash and other cryptocurrencies.
