BTC DeFi growth reflects market hype, not tech maturity, says analyst

Rich Rines of the Core Foundation has assessed that the rapid growth of Bitcoin DeFi (BTC-Fi) is a classic hype cycle driven more by market expectations than technological maturity. He compared the current situation to the 2020 "DeFi Summer," analyzing that recent market corrections and a re-evaluation of trust assumptions are healthy developments for the industry's maturation. Rines emphasized that the sustainable growth of the Bitcoin ecosystem must be driven by "Real Yield" models and professional asset management protocols, rather than short-term liquidity inflows. He projected that while more value will be created as infrastructure gradually improves, it will take considerable time to realize its true value.
