South Korean prosecutors have strengthened their management system to ensure that any transfer of seized cryptocurrency is immediately reported to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office (SPO), Segye Ilbo reported. The SPO sent two memos to prosecutors' offices nationwide, on Feb. 12 and Feb. 20, instructing them to register the types of confiscated cryptocurrencies, their wallet addresses, and the personal information of the officials in charge. The memo sent on Feb. 20 particularly emphasized that the SPO plans to use specialized analysis tools to instantly notify the responsible official if any movement of prosecutor-managed cryptocurrency occurs.
