US Treasury Secretary: Trump has a vision for Iran war, all sides must step back

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that President Donald Trump has a vision for the war in Iran and that all parties involved should take a step back to see the bigger picture, Walter Bloomberg reported on X. Regarding a potential trade halt with Spain, Bessent noted that any measure slowing the ability to wage war could put American lives at risk. He also said he expects a measure to raise tariff rates to 15% to be implemented this week, adding that they would return to previous levels in about five months.
