20 millionth Bitcoin has been mined

The 20 millionth Bitcoin has been mined, 17 years, two months, and one week after the creation of the genesis block in January 2009. This milestone means 95.2% of Bitcoin's total supply is now in circulation. The Block reported that, according to data from blockchain explorer Mempool, the block was mined at height 939,999 by the Foundry USA pool. The remaining one million bitcoins are expected to be mined over the next 114 years.
