U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that Iran's military power has been rapidly weakened, adding that the country's newly elected Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, likely sustained facial injuries in a U.S. military attack. Speaking at a Pentagon press conference today, Hegseth also noted that the Iranian leadership is moving into bunkers and civilian areas to evade potential strikes. He affirmed that the U.S. has plans in place for all scenarios related to Iran's threats to blockade the Strait of Hormuz.
