President Lee's son, top aides hold crypto despite market downturn

Key public officials in the Lee Jae-myung administration and their families continue to hold significant virtual assets despite the market downturn that began in the fourth quarter of last year, Edaily reported. According to the 2026 regular asset disclosure for high-ranking public officials, published by the Government Public Official Ethics Committee with data as of Dec. 31, 2025, the Blue House official with the largest crypto holdings is Lee Min-joo, Secretary for Public Relations. Lee, who reported no virtual assets in the previous disclosure, now holds 170.32 million won ($123,423) in Bitcoin, Sologenic, APENFT, XRP, XCORE, and Tether. President Lee's eldest son ranked third among officials, reporting a total of 41.06 million won ($29,751) in assets including XRP and Tether.
