Metaplanet says it bought 5,075 BTC in the first quarter

Metaplanet, a publicly traded Japanese company that has been accumulating Bitcoin, purchased 5,075 BTC during the first quarter, CEO Simon Gerovich announced on X. The average purchase price for these acquisitions was 12.55 million yen (around $82,800). Gerovich added that Metaplanet's return on its Bitcoin holdings since the beginning of the year stands at 2.8%. The company now holds a total of 41,777 BTC, valued at 623.37 billion yen (approximately $4.13 billion), with an overall average purchase price of 15.52 million yen (around $102,750) per BTC.
