The world's largest prediction market platform, Polymarket, has forcibly closed a market that allowed users to bet on the rescue of a U.S. pilot reportedly shot down over Iran, Cointelegraph reported. The market was designed for users to bet on whether U.S. authorities would confirm the pilot's rescue by Saturday. It drew significant public outrage after more than 60% of participants wagered that the pilot would not be saved. U.S. Representative Seth Moulton strongly condemned the action, calling it a "disgusting" act to gamble on the fate of a potentially injured service member.
