The calls reportedly took place before and after Milei posted a promotional message for the token. While he has not been indicted, Milei is considered a key suspect in the investigation into Libra. In February 2025, Milei promoted LIBRA on his X account. Argentina's political opposition claims that investors suffered significant financial losses as a result of the president's promotion.
