Bloomberg: US-Iran ceasefire unlikely
April 07, 2026, 11:28 AM
Ahead of an ultimatum issued by U.S. President Donald Trump, an airstrike is considered the most likely scenario for Iran's response. Walter Bloomberg, citing Bloomberg Economics, explained that a ceasefire is unlikely due to the significant gap in positions between the two nations. While the possibility of extending the deadline is considered moderate, President Trump is reluctant to do so. The most probable scenario is an airstrike, which could range from limited strikes to a broader offensive. In contrast, deploying ground troops or attacking key areas like Kharg Island is considered less likely due to the high risks involved.
