Pakistan's PM asks Trump to extend Iran deadline, urges Mideast ceasefire

The Prime Minister of Pakistan has asked U.S. President Donald Trump to extend an ultimatum deadline for Iran by two weeks and has urged warring nations to implement a two-week ceasefire in all regions. He stated that the goal is to achieve a complete end to the war with Iran through diplomatic channels, adding that efforts for a peaceful resolution in the Middle East are ongoing. The prime minister also called on Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz for the next two weeks as a gesture of goodwill. In response to the news, WTI crude oil fell by $2, spot gold rose by around $40 to surpass $4,700, and U.S. stocks saw a slight increase.
