Zhao Changpeng offers Xu Mingxing $1B bet over divorce status

Binance founder Zhao Changpeng has proposed a $1 billion bet to OKX founder Xu Mingxing after Xu publicly questioned whether Zhao is actually divorced. The challenge follows a statement from Xu, who said he would publicly apologize if Zhao could produce a signed divorce agreement. Xu accused Zhao of spreading false information if he continued to claim he was divorced in the media and his book without providing such proof. In a post on X, Zhao retorted that he would not publish legal documents online to protect his ex-wife's privacy. Instead, he offered the wager, stating that if Xu accepts, lawyers will authenticate the divorce agreement. Zhao gave Xu 24 hours to accept the proposal, adding that a refusal would reveal who is truly deceiving the public.
