PeckShield warns of unauthorized minting, dumping of 1B DOT on Ethereum

Blockchain security firm PeckShield has warned of the unauthorized minting and large-scale sale of one billion Polkadot (DOT) tokens on Ethereum. According to Etherscan, the unauthorized minting appears to have occurred at 3:55 a.m. UTC on April 13. Community analysis suggests a vulnerability in the Polkadot Bridge may be the cause. DOT is currently trading at $1.18, down 3.72%, according to CoinMarketCap.
