US DOJ begins compensation process for OneCoin victims

The U.S. Department of Justice has launched a process to compensate victims of the OneCoin cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme, which caused over $4 billion in damages, Cointelegraph reported. The department had previously seized more than $40 million in assets from the scheme. Victims who purchased OneCoin between 2014 and 2019 and subsequently lost money are eligible for compensation.
