Fed Chair nominee Kevin Warsh revealed as early investor in crypto infrastructure

April 14, 2026, 2:59 PM
U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman nominee Kevin Warsh has made early-stage investments in the cryptocurrency infrastructure sector, according to Eleanor Terrett, host of Crypto in America. Citing Warsh's financial disclosures, Terrett noted on X that his investments include the DeFi lending protocol Compound, Ethereum Layer 2 networks Optimism and Blast, Solana, and various trading infrastructure and crypto investment firms like Vana. He has also invested in artificial intelligence, biotech, and other platforms. Terrett observed that the investments appear to be small, illiquid, and not generating income, suggesting they are more akin to indirect venture investments than direct holdings of liquid assets. She added that despite this, Warsh's overall allocation to crypto-related investments appears to be high.
