Investment in crypto startups during the first quarter of this year totaled $5 billion, a 15% decrease from the same period last year, DL News reported, citing data from DeFiLlama. In response, Jonathan King, a senior investor at Coinbase Ventures, explained that quiet or difficult markets can present opportunities. He added that investments made during such periods are more likely to yield significant future returns, noting that this rationale is why Coinbase Ventures was a major investor in the first quarter.
