Metaplanet, a publicly listed Japanese company accumulating Bitcoin, has issued 8 billion yen ($50 million) in zero-interest corporate bonds to fund additional BTC purchases, the company announced on its official X account. The bonds will be allocated to EVO Fund, Metaplanet's largest shareholder and a key capital partner, and the company is expected to use the proceeds to purchase BTC immediately. Metaplanet has repeatedly employed a strategy of issuing bonds to buy BTC, providing new stock warrants to EVO Fund, and then repaying the debt early.Log in to leave comments!
