The Trump family's crypto project, World Liberty Financial (WLF), is facing scrutiny over its ties to individuals involved with a scam organization previously sanctioned by U.S. authorities, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported. According to the report, WLF announced a partnership with a crypto venture firm called AB. One of AB's projects, a blockchain-themed resort, was reportedly led by two men sanctioned by the U.S. for their alleged work with the Prince Group, an organization the U.S. government has designated as one of Asia's largest criminal syndicates. In response, World Liberty Financial clarified that it was unaware of the blockchain resort project when it announced the deal. The company stated that its agreement with AB was a technical collaboration to enable the use of its USD1 token on the AB network, not a formal partnership.
