Steak 'n Shake introduces Bitcoin to executive compensation

U.S. fast-food chain Steak 'n Shake has included Bitcoin (BTC) in its executive compensation system, company executive Michael Boes announced at the 2026 Bitcoin Conference. This follows the company's move in May 2025 to introduce Bitcoin payments via the Lightning Network at its 393 stores in the U.S.
