Japan Exchange Group (JPX) could list a cryptocurrency ETF as early as 2027, CEO Hiromi Yamaji said in an interview with Bloomberg. He noted that asset managers have shown interest in launching such products, and JPX is prepared to move forward as soon as the relevant domestic legislation and tax rules are clarified. However, Yamaji warned that if progress is delayed, the listing could be pushed back to 2028. JPX first announced its goal to list cryptocurrencies and related asset classes in March 2025.
