Pentagon's FY2027 budget proposal excludes new Ukraine aid

The Pentagon's budget proposal for fiscal year 2027 does not include new funding for military aid to Ukraine, Acting Inspector General Hearst said during a Senate hearing. In response to a lawmaker's question, Hearst confirmed that the budget proposal contains no funds for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), Russia's Sputnik news agency reported.
