The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has announced new regulations for tokenized funds, permitting open-ended funds to issue shares on public blockchains, FinanceFeeds reported. Under the new rules, authorized funds can use blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) to manage investor records and shares within the existing regulatory framework. The regulations also permit the issuance of fund shares across multiple blockchains. Meanwhile, the UK is scheduled to finalize its crypto-asset regulatory framework by October 2027.
