May 12, 2026, 3:03 AM
The Ethereum Foundation (EF) has officially announced a leadership change for its Protocol Cluster. The new leads will be Will Corcoran, Kev Wedderburn, and Fredrik. The EF explained that former leads Barnabé Monnot and Tim Beiko are leaving the foundation, while Alex Stokes is taking a sabbatical. According to the foundation, the three new leads played key roles in launching the protocol track, advancing the Fusaka upgrade, introducing PeerDAS, and increasing the mainnet gas limit. The EF added that under the new leadership, the Protocol Cluster will continue to work on applying the next upgrade, "Glamsterdam," and preparing for the subsequent "Hegotá" upgrade.
