PeckShield reports 1,000T MAPO minted in exploit

Blockchain security firm PeckShield reported via X that 1,000 trillion MAPO tokens were minted without authorization, urging Map Protocol (MAPO) to investigate.
Separately, security firm Blockaid noted that bridges for Map Protocol and Butter Network were exploited on Ethereum and BNB Chain, respectively. The attacker sold the unauthorizedly minted tokens on the Uniswap ETH/MAPO pool, stealing 52.21 ETH worth approximately $180,000. According to Blockaid, the hacker still holds 999.99 trillion MAPO.Leave the first comment
