Uniswap founder says UNI was not incubated by Ethereum Foundation

Uniswap (UNI) founder Hayden Adams clarified on X that the project was not incubated by the Ethereum Foundation. His statement was a response to comments from Ethereum Foundation Director Aya Miyaguchi, who had cited Uniswap as an example of a project that underwent the foundation's incubation program. Adams acknowledged that while Uniswap received grants and various forms of support, it was not formally incubated. He added that he could see why some might feel that way due to his personal connections with the foundation. The clarification comes after the Ethereum Foundation recently announced it would refocus on its core values following a series of staff departures. Adams' remarks are seen as an effort to emphasize that Uniswap and the Ethereum Foundation are separate organizations.
