Coinbase launches 'Coinbase for Agents' for AI-driven trading

Coinbase has launched "Coinbase for Agents," a new platform that connects major AI agents like ChatGPT and Claude directly to user accounts to handle financial transactions, CoinDesk reported. The AI agents can independently manage crypto spot and derivatives trading, access market data, and pay for online services within user-defined risk and spending limits. Users can delegate advanced trading tools, such as portfolio adjustments or automated trading strategies, to the AI using simple natural language commands without complex coding. Coinbase plans to expand the AI's trading support beyond crypto to include stocks and prediction markets in the future.
