Early ETH investor sells entire 8-year holding for $27.5M profit

A whale investor who held Ethereum for eight years has closed out the position, selling the remaining 20,000 ETH about 30 minutes ago, according to on-chain analyst EmberCN. The move is estimated to have netted a profit of $27.53 million. The address sold a total of 37,598 ETH today at an average price of $1,561, compared to a purchase price of $829 eight years ago.
