Gauntlet secures $125M investment from Japan's SBI Holdings

July 09, 2026, 12:17 PM
DeFi risk management project Gauntlet has secured a $125 million investment from Japanese financial giant SBI Holdings, Fortune reported. SBI Holdings was the sole investor in the latest funding round, though the company's valuation was not disclosed. This marks Gauntlet's largest fundraising since its founding in 2018, significantly exceeding the amount raised in its 2022 Series B round, which valued the company at $1 billion. Gauntlet initially offered DeFi risk analysis and stress testing solutions but pivoted in 2023 to a service that evaluates the risk of individual DeFi yield strategies. Its current major clients include Apollo (APO), Coinbase (COIN), and Circle (CRCL).
