South Korean authorities review account freezes, rewards for crypto market abuse reports

South Korea’s financial authorities are reviewing the introduction of payment suspensions on digital asset accounts and a rewards program for reporting unfair trading in the digital asset market, Digital Asset reported. The authorities said today they plan to consider adding to a second-stage digital asset law measures modeled on the capital market framework, including account and bank account payment freezes to prevent the concealment of illicit gains and a reporting and bounty system to detect unfair trading at an early stage.
