Hong Kong dollar stablecoin HKDAP expected to launch this month

Hong Kong dollar (HKD)-based stablecoin HKDAP is expected to launch later this month, BlockBeats reported, citing a local media outlet. According to the report, Anchorpoint Fintech, led by Standard Chartered Hong Kong, plans to jointly announce the launch of the Hong Kong dollar-pegged stablecoin by the end of July, potentially within the next two weeks. Anchorpoint Fintech is one of two issuers to receive the first stablecoin issuance licenses approved by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in April.
