Hyperliquid to expand HIP-4 prediction market creation to general users

Hyperliquid (HYPE) said on its Telegram channel it plans to expand HIP-4 prediction market creation rights to general users through a future network upgrade. The feature will first be tested on the testnet before being rolled out to the mainnet. Creators will be able to open markets based on templates set through validator voting, and creating a market will require staking 500,000 HYPE. Staked tokens may be slashed following a validator vote if a market is designed ambiguously, settled differently from the template standards, or left unresolved for more than one week despite requiring settlement. The details may still change as feedback is collected.
