The London Stock Exchange plans to introduce 24-hour trading starting next year, as it looks to regain competitiveness and recapture retail investor interest lost to around-the-clock cryptocurrency exchanges, the Financial Times reported. Under the plan, the LSE aims to launch an after-hours trading platform in the first half of next year, allowing securities trading after the market close, initially focusing on ETP products including ETFs tracking UK and U.S. stock markets.
