Solv says BNB Chain BTC+ breach contained, all unauthorized tokens burned

July 21, 2026, 12:26 AM
Solv Protocol said a security incident occurred in the BTC+ smart contract on BNB Chain, formerly Binance Smart Chain, but user assets remain safe. According to Solv, the attacker stole the deployer key, changed the minting proxy contract and issued BTC+ without authorization. The response came around three hours after the incident, and all unauthorized BTC+ tokens have since been frozen and burned. BTC+-related services are currently suspended temporarily for final security checks. Solv added "receipt token" in describing BTC+ as a token that proves investment in a vault, a BTC deposit yield product. Solv also said BTC+ has no official liquidity pool on decentralized exchanges and urged users to buy and hold BTC+ only through official channels. The protocol said it has strengthened deployer security, replaced all related access permissions and signing keys, and is conducting a new smart contract audit with an outside security firm. A detailed report on the incident and response measures will be released later, Solv said.
