Strategy (MSTR) founder Michael Saylor reiterated his opposition to BIP-110, arguing the proposal takes a statist approach to regulating how Bitcoin is used. BIP-110 is a Bitcoin improvement proposal that seeks to restrict the recording of images, text and other data in transactions. In a post on X, Saylor said the idea of changing Bitcoin network rules because others use BTC in ways some dislike is statist and does not fit the spirit of the BTC community, which he said is rooted in freedom, property rights, free markets, natural law and Austrian economics. He added BIP-110 would force BTC to be used only as 'pure money'.
