Concerns over AI-driven DeFi hacks are spreading, but those fears may be premature, according to Cointelegraph. Dragonfly managing partner Haseeb Qureshi said concerns about a wave of DeFi hacks are misguided, adding that even including the major hacking incident in April, monthly hacking losses this year have been declining and average annual losses have also been falling. Stephen Ajayi, chief offensive security engineer at blockchain security firm Hacken, said the main causes of Web3 losses are key compromises, infrastructure vulnerabilities and user error, adding that claims of a hacking disaster driven by AI are overstated.
