The U.S. Senate rejected a resolution on July 23 requiring congressional approval for war with Iran, Reuters reported. In a procedural vote on whether to advance debate on the measure, 49 senators voted against it and 47 voted in favor. Reuters said the push for the resolution showed growing concern over the war even within President Donald Trump’s Republican Party.
