U.S. Senate rejects resolution requiring congressional approval for Iran war

The U.S. Senate rejected a resolution on July 23 requiring congressional approval for war with Iran, Reuters reported. In a procedural vote on whether to advance debate on the measure, 49 senators voted against it and 47 voted in favor.
