More than 25 institutions, including BitGo, Cumberland, FalconX, Ledger, Blockdaemon and Bullish, are conducting stress tests for BTC lending and credit services on the Hashi testnet, Bitcoin.com reported, after layer-one blockchain Sui launched the testnet for its Bitcoin-collateralized lending primitive Hashi. Wave Digital Assets also said it plans to prioritize the tokenization of yield-bearing Bitcoin bonds on Sui over the next three years once Hashi launches on mainnet. Hashi has not yet disclosed a mainnet launch schedule. The current testnet phase is designed to let developers and institutions integrate and validate lending, borrowing and credit products before real capital is deployed. If the testing is completed successfully, Bitcoin holders will be able to generate yield while keeping their assets in native BTC form.
