224 crypto hacks caused $1.32B in losses in the first half of 2026

A total of 224 cryptocurrency hacking incidents were recorded in the first half of this year, with losses reaching about $1.32 billion, according to Onchain Lens. The main attack types included access control vulnerabilities, phishing, and oracle-related exploits. Among them, large losses were concentrated in attacks involving privilege escalation and administrator account takeovers tied to access control weaknesses. KelpDAO and Drift Protocol were among the hardest hit, suffering losses of $292 million and $280 million, respectively.
