U.S. federal court blocks Minnesota ban on prediction markets

A U.S. federal court has granted a preliminary injunction sought by prediction market platforms including Polymarket and Kalshi, suspending enforcement of Minnesota’s ban on prediction markets, Unfolded reported. The court said betting activity treated as prediction markets and swaps falls under the jurisdiction of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
